Carpenter - Intermediate

BELFOR Property Restoration is dedicated to restoring more than property.

We're a leading provider of property restoration services, and we're looking for a skilled Carpenter - Intermediate to join our team.

This role is responsible for providing operational support in reconstruction efforts for clients. The successful candidate will have extensive carpentry experience and the ability to work with little supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Recognize potential problems with the project and request additional guidance and assistance in a timely manner.
• Answer questions regarding the project and direct more specific or complicated questions to the appropriate resource.
• Move and protect contents without damage.
• Construct containment for construction dust, dirt, and airborne contaminants in the working area.
• Perform tasks related to floodcutting, salvaging, and labeling baseboards, cabinets, doors, etc., using appropriate tools and accepted BELFOR methods.
• Attend and successfully complete shrink wrap training and complete four projects containing shrink wrap.
• Develop the ability to identify different types of insulation, their thickness, and their respective R-value.
• Apply learned skills and materials knowledge relative to trim, doors, cabinetry, insulation, rough framing, acoustical ceilings, roofing materials, and exterior siding to daily tasks.
• Perform daily vehicle safety and maintenance inspections and maintain the vehicle in a clean, serviceable condition.
• Maintain attention to detail and meet BELFOR standards in safeguarding other people's property.
• Have a comprehensive understanding of customer service principles and practices.
• Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines.
• Be required to work nights and weekends as requested and travel periodically.
• Report time worked and equipment and consumables used timely and accurately.
• Attend BELFOR sponsored operations and safety training courses as required.
