Job Summary

As a Medical Surgical Unit Supervisor at Atrium Health, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and managing daily operations.

About the Role

This position requires a Registered Nurse with a strong leadership background to oversee the direct provision of patient care and assist the manager with daily operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical and communication skills, as well as experience in staff management and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the manager in enhancing the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and delivery of care in the department
  • Assist with interview, selection, and supervision of nursing personnel in the department
  • Collaborate with manager to ensure understanding and compliance with federal and state laws and regulations
  • Rounds on patients, teammates, and physicians to gain insight into patient care and employee satisfaction
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Graduate degree from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current RN licensure in the appropriate state
  • Minimum two years nursing experience, preferably in a leadership role
  • BSN required; BLS certification per policy guidelines
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $115,000 annually, depending on experience. In addition, our benefits package includes comprehensive health insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
