About the Role

The Strategic Procurement Manager, Americas is a key resource in strategically managing costs and supplier relationships to improve CRH's profitability and competitive position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned General Services spend categories within the Americas, participating and facilitating cross-functional and cross-regional/global teams.
  • Support the development of category strategies and ensure that strategies are executed locally.
  • Execute the RFX and sourcing process, including negotiations and contract development.
  • Accountable for procurement KPI Performance Management and process adherence in their area of responsibility.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to execute procurement projects, from initiation to closure.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and track progress against milestones.
  • Maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers.
  • Analyze the supply market, anticipate changes, and drive associated procurement activities.
  • Evaluate contracts and suppliers to facilitate final supplier base decisions with relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure products and services are purchased in the most cost- and time-efficient manner, implement and ensure purchasing best practices.
  • Coordinate category and supplier strategy implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years in procurement or strategic sourcing experience with a focus on indirect services.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing complex procurement projects.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Experience in working in a cross-functional environment.
