Job Summary:

The Lot Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of sheds and truck accessories from our retail lot to customers' locations. This position is based at the Leonard Mount Airy, NC location with operations in the U.S.

Key Responsibilities:

Transporting portable buildings to customer sites
Obtaining a schedule from the Route Manager
Locating and inspecting the building for defects before loading
Repairing any defects found before transporting
Conducting a final safety walk-around prior to departure
Transporting and dropping the building as scheduled, ensuring it is level and report to the dealer

Additional Responsibilities:

Delivering customer buildings to their desired locations
Contacting customers before delivery for confirmation
Obtaining releases signed before entering customer property upon arrival
Conducting a final walk-through inspection with the customer for accepted delivery
Collecting payment per pick-up paperwork and policy

Requirements:

Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen, and DOT physical
Excellent customer service and professional communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to complete assigned tasks
Positive attitude with a can-do mentality
Self-starter with the ability to work well independently and part of the team

Education/Experience Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Must have a CDL A License
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a delivery role, preferably in the retail industry

Travel:
This position requires approximately 95% travel within the United States to customer sites within the dedicated area.
