Job Title: Recycling Operator

We are seeking a skilled Recycling Operator to join our team at Charter Next Generation. As a Recycling Operator, you will be responsible for the operation and output of assigned production lines, ensuring the production of high-quality pellets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Feed the machine an adequate amount of scrap at all times.
  • Check the quality of the pellets being made.
  • Monitor the heat profiles on the Erema and adjust as needed.
  • Notify supervisors of any factors that may impact the quality of the product.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area.
  • Enter serial numbers of gaylords or rolls into the computer system.
  • Perform daily activities such as housekeeping and maintaining a safe work environment.
Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of plastic extrusion experience preferred.
  • Ability to work with measuring tools such as tape measure and calipers.
  • Solid technical/mechanical aptitude.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, pull, and lift throughout a 12-hour period.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Focus on safety and quality production.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Work Environment:

The physical demands of this job include standing for most of a 12-hour shift on a cement production floor. The team member must be able to lift and/or move up to 65 pounds and work safely around numerous hot surfaces and rotating equipment.
