Join a Dynamic Team of Healthcare Professionals

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of South Alabama seeks a fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopaedic surgeon to join our Division of Sports Medicine. The selected candidate will be appointed at the Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor level, commensurate with experience.

As a member of our sports medicine team, you will have the opportunity to work with NCAA Division I USA Jaguar athletic teams, as well as various high school teams. You will also collaborate with primary care sports medicine specialists, athletic trainers, and a physician's assistant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in University and High School sports programs
• Contribute to academic medicine initiatives, including patient care, medical education, and sports-related clinical and translational research
• Teach orthopaedic surgery residents and medical students

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

To be eligible for this position, candidates must have completed an accredited training program and be eligible for and maintain an unrestricted Alabama medical license. A letter of interest and recent curriculum vitae are required. Cover letters are optional.
