Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced diesel technician to join our team at Ed Martin Buick GMC. As a diesel technician, you will be responsible for performing work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards. This includes diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems, as well as communicating directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers of any additional service needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems.
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers of any additional service needed.
  • Provide estimates of time needed for additional repairs.
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of experience as an auto technician.
  • ASE certifications are ideal.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
  • Fast, eager learner and team player.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Computer skills and willingness to learn new problems.
  • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
  • Valid driver's license.
