About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and animal-loving individual to join our team as an Apprentice Dog Bather Extraordinaire at Healthy Spot.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bathing and Grooming: Provide high-quality bathing services to dogs, including bathing, drying, nail clipping, anal gland expression, ear cleaning, and detangling.
  • Canine Care Assessments: Conduct thorough needs assessments to evaluate each dog's eyes, ears, nails, teeth, coat, and skin, and recommend additional pampering services or products.
  • Client Communication: Communicate service fees and convey the value of our add-ons to pet parents, ensuring they are well-informed.
  • Sanitation and Organization: Maintain a pristine bathing area by sanitizing and vacuuming, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Customer Service: Welcome each dog and their human by name, provide an estimated pick-up time, and showcase our commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Record Keeping: Ensure all kennel cards are meticulously filled out with any special notes, health concerns, or specific customer requests.
  • Animal Welfare: Keep our canine clients well-hydrated and ensure they are walked regularly, monitoring for any signs of stress.
  • Safety Protocols: Respond promptly to personnel or dog injuries, ensuring a safe salon experience for everyone.
Requirements
  • Passion for Animals: A genuine love for dogs and an eagerness to learn about their care.
  • Communication Skills: A people person, ready to engage with pet parents and share knowledge.
