We are seeking a talented Pharmacoepidemiologist to join our team to support projects at the NIH's National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS). In this role, you will collaborate with clinical and data scientists, methodologists, and software engineers to develop and execute exemplar causal inference studies. You will work as a subject matter expert to create a real-world evidence (RWE) methods decision tree; support master protocol development; and support development of gold-standard guides and methodologies for conducting best practices causal inference research.
Responsibilities include designing, executing, and analyzing studies using the National Clinical Cohort Collaborative (N3C) data, reviewing and recommending strategies for selecting study designs to answer causal inference questions, and establishing and implementing appropriate analytic value sets. Additionally, you will help establish and implement appropriate analytic value sets, collaborate on producing extensive documentation through training material, research protocols, open data sources, and methodological and research papers, and work closely with data science and software developer teams to articulate technical methods and implement decision tool strategies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate must have a Ph.D. in Pharmacoepidemiology, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or related field, experience with target trial emulation, sequential trial analysis, marginal structural models, longitudinal matching, G methods, or equivalent causal inference methods realized in at least 2 primary-author peer-reviewed publications, or equivalent. Ability to independently conduct statistical analysis with analytic software tools and fluency with coding languages and tools are also required. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, are essential.
