We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Regency Integrated Health Services. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping our patients achieve their maximum potential and independence in daily living activities.
Job Summary:The Occupational Therapist will conduct assessments and reassessments of rehabilitation needs and potential, developing and implementing individualized therapeutic programs to restore physical function, sensory-integrative functions, and independence in activities of daily living.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct assessments and reassessments of patients' level of function, applying diagnostic and prognostic procedures.
- Develop and implement individualized therapeutic programs to restore physical function, sensory-integrative functions, and independence in activities of daily living.
- Collaborate with the Rehab Director and other healthcare professionals to ensure integration of the therapeutic program in the plan of care.
- Guide and teach patients in the use of therapeutic, compensatory, creative, and self-care activities to improve function and increase independence.
- Observe, record, and report patients' reactions to treatment and any changes in their condition or treatment.
- Document the extent of patients' involvement in decision-making affecting their care.
- Instruct other agency personnel and patients' family members in certain phases of occupational therapy where they may safely and effectively assist the patient.
- Participate in patient case conferences to coordinate the patient's plan of care and promote positive therapeutic outcomes.
- Graduate of a curriculum in Occupational Therapy accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association, awarding a Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Current licensure by the state of Texas to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
- Two years of appropriate experience as an Occupational Therapist required; two years of experience as an Occupational Therapist in home health preferred.
The Occupational Therapist must be able to adapt to client status and needs as directed, with schedule changes daily due to client condition and needs, new clients, etc. The position requires a car with current insurance coverage and a State driver's license.
