This role is pivotal in guaranteeing the accurate procurement and planning of traded goods, raw materials, and maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) supplies are communicated to suppliers consistently and punctually.

It is essential to align all shipment timelines with established schedules.

All interactions and communications with suppliers must be conducted in a timely and professional manner at all times.


Key Responsibilities:
Proficient understanding of export and import customs protocols and regulations.
Ensure timely booking of transportation and specialized freight in accordance with company processes.
Collaborate closely with relevant quality assurance teams regarding supplier quality concerns.

Maintain ongoing communication with internal facilities to ensure they receive demand signals promptly and address any expedited requests from customers.

Manage direct, indirect, and MRO procurement (including raw materials, washers, oils, non-manufacturing tools, etc.).

Work in conjunction with customer service, commercial, finance, quality, operations, materials, and warehousing to ensure seamless daily operations.

Continuously strive to enhance processes, on-time deliveries, and cost efficiencies in collaboration with other departments.
Take ownership of all traded inventory, ensuring target stock levels as a percentage of future sales are met.
Develop and assess production plans and schedules along with associated inventory objectives.
Accountable for reporting on inventory metrics, including days on hand, stock shortages, variances, and safety stock levels.
Identify and engage potential new suppliers, initiating their onboarding process.
Conduct accurate pricing and negotiations.
Formulate capacity plans and evaluate capacity utilization, providing recommendations to relevant personnel.

Support and analyze all customer releases to establish an effective trade schedule (in partnership with customer service) and communicate this schedule to procurement professionals.

Drive continuous improvement in utilization, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), and production efficiency outcomes.
Assist other team members during periods of absence.
Participate in interdepartmental meetings to support business and organizational growth.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment and appropriate attire in line with safety standards.

Comply with all ISO/IATF 16949 and ISO-45001 procedures and work instructions.
Candidate Profile: A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial materials management is preferred.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, negotiation, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Experience with data analysis tools, relevant software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office is advantageous. Familiarity with international/global environments.
Proven experience in managing, leading, and motivating teams, including remote management capabilities.
