Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty Member to join our Practical Nursing department. As a part-time instructor, you will be responsible for teaching students through lecture, demonstrations, simulation, and/or audio-visual aids to prepare them to enter the nursing profession.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Instruction: Instruct students in the Practical Nursing program, utilizing a variety of teaching methods to ensure student understanding and success.
  • Student Supervision: Supervise students' clinical experiences, providing guidance and support to ensure a positive learning environment.
  • Course Development: Prepare and/or revise syllabi of courses of study, including detailed lesson plans, to meet the needs of our students.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Administer assessments to evaluate student progress, maintaining accurate records and submitting reports as required.
  • Professional Development: Maintain ongoing competencies required for RN licensure by participating in continuing education opportunities to remain current in the field.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Attend meetings with program stakeholders, ensuring compliance with all TBR, TN Board of Nursing, institutional, state, and federal requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate Degree in Nursing with active license in Tennessee as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital and/or long-term nursing facility.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Teaching Experience, and strong organizational and communication skills.
