Job Title: Oncology/Infusion RN

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Oncology/Infusion RN to join our team at Becker Health. As a key member of our Outpatient Nursing Services, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to individuals undergoing chemotherapy and infusion therapy.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health status before, during, and after chemotherapy infusion sessions.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
  • Safely administer simple to complex infusion therapy for chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy treatments.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Evaluate learning needs of patients and families, providing education and support to promote understanding and self-management.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Current, unencumbered RN license in Utah or compact state.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications, or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration Certificate, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Knowledge of infection control principles, patient safety techniques, and prevention of adverse reactions to medications/treatments.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills and ability to maintain same in situations with rapidly changing circumstances.
