About the Role
As a Virtual Registered Nurse at Virtua, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care through remote coordination and support. With a minimum of 5 years of acute care nursing experience, you will utilize your exceptional communication skills, assessment abilities, and clinical judgment to ensure seamless care for patients across our hospitals.

Job Responsibilities
  • Complete non-physical admission processes via virtual conferences, including assessments and medication lists.
  • Regularly review patient chart information to identify changes in condition and report them to primary nurses and other team members.
  • Utilize virtual conference tools to assess patients' emotional responses to illness and incorporate families into their care plans.
  • Participate in discharge preparations through virtual conferences, providing education on self-care, home medications, and follow-up measures.
  • Deliver education to patients, families, and caregivers via active teaching in virtual conferences, explaining medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and potential side effects.
  • Assess patient environments for safety risks and non-compliance with regulatory standards using virtual camera applications.
  • Manage evidence-based practices and continuous process improvement initiatives to meet quality measures and enhance patient care.

Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of acute care nursing experience (7 years preferred).
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
  • Current State of New Jersey nursing license and CPR certification (BLS). Relevant certifications are also required.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 per year
