Calibration Technician I

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Calibration Technician I to join our team at Transcat. As a Calibration Technician I, you will be responsible for performing calibration work within a laboratory setting and/or while supervised at a customer on-site.
Key Responsibilities- Work with other technicians within the lab to learn calibration fundamentals, including measurement, temperature, electronics, etc.
- Identify and utilize appropriate measurement techniques
- Maintain calibration standards
- Perform calibration work within a laboratory setting and/or while supervised at a customer on-site
- Fulfill duties safely under working conditions, in keeping with Company requirements and standards
- Associates degree from college or technical school; or at least one (1) year related experience and/or training
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Self-motivated learner with the ability to learn new skills related to calibration and calibration processes
- Ability to take direction and learn from feedback
- Ability to communicate well with supervisor, solve problems effectively, and work both independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience or training in electronics or machining
- Basic mathematical skills including algebra, geometry, and statistics
- Familiarity with basic hand tools
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office computer software including Word, Excel, and Outlook
