Job Summary:

Spectrum Health and Human Services is seeking a highly skilled IT Director to lead our organization's technology initiatives. As a key member of our executive team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing department application systems for business functions and enterprise-wide IT as well as data management.

This position requires a strong leader who can provide agency-wide leadership while being responsible for overseeing and managing department application systems for business functions and enterprise-wide IT as well as data management. You will be responsible for applications both in-house developed solutions, the configuration of packaged products created by third parties, or configuration, implementation, and support of cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with organization leadership on the ongoing design, implementation, and maintenance of the IT, networks, and infrastructure, and all other technology for the organization.
  • Mentor and foster IT teams to succeed and meet departmental goals and objectives
  • Develop staff to high-performance levels by providing leadership, coaching, and timely feedback to direct reports.
  • Provide first-responder, hands-on, direct technology, equipment, and database support to staff and client users. Determine when IT and data support issues should be escalated to third-party vendors.
  • Act as liaison to outside vendors and contractors to provide additional managed IT, network communications, and data-related services as needed.
  • Manage and support an EHR/EMR and a linked SQL database, including supporting and training users, managing and encouraging user adoption, and ensuring the successful flow of data into and out of both data systems.
  • Use data systems to provide business intelligence for data-driven decision-making and strategic planning for the organization through hands-on report design and by teaching staff how to improve their reporting acumen.
  • Support the preservation of data integrity and security by implementing and monitoring disaster recovery, backup procedures, information security, remote access protocols, and other control structures put in place.
  • Implements business systems plans, directing development, release, and maintenance of systems, applications, and process IT controls.
  • Focuses on the human organizational aspects of business processes and their transformation relating to their adoption and use of systems.
  • Assists with coordinating systems IT control and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Works with the Chief Information Officer and Security Officer to prepare and gain approval for portions of the IT budget relating to application development and IT Quality Assurance.
  • Assumes primary responsibility for managing the assigned budget.
  • Work closely with the Chief Information Officer and Security Officer annually to develop strategic plans to enhance existing technology and leverage AI to advance enterprise networks further

Requirements:

  • Proven analytic skills, including mining, evaluation, analysis, and visualization
  • Strong data visualization and predictive modeling
  • Proven Leadership and communication skills
  • Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations
  • Strong SQL or Excel skills with the ability to learn other ETL tools
  • Experience with database and model design and segmentation techniques
  • Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and teamwork skills
  • Experienced with Microsoft Cloud Services and M365 Products

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business, or related discipline and equivalent experience to meet the position's needs.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years experience in Information Technology with a minimum of 3 years involving direct supervision in an IT and Data environment.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in data and analytical concepts in a data-driven environment

Successful development and implementation of applications in new computing architecture environments using new and emerging technologies.

A track record of leadership skills working closely with technical staff through various life-cycle phases.

Must possess a valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record and possess a personal vehicle for job requirements.
