The Mammography Tech I role plays a crucial part in achieving this vision. As a mammography specialist, you will be responsible for performing various breast imaging procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and competency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain optimum quality breast images for radiologist interpretation while performing screening mammograms and diagnostic breast imaging studies.
  • Assist radiologists during stereotactic and ultrasound guided biopsies.
  • Evaluate patients through review of previous studies and history to determine screening versus diagnostic patients.
  • Cover other functions in the department as deemed necessary.
  • Provide radiation protection in accordance with proper standards as set by State and Federal boards.

Requirements:

  • Radiologic Technology certification program
  • No experience required; prior radiology experience preferred
