Employment Status: Full-Time

We are currently seeking a dedicated Full-Time Housekeeper (approximately 35 hours per week) for our Senior Independent Living Community. The starting wage is $13.75 per hour. While prior experience is preferred, we are willing to provide training for the right candidate. A passion for working with seniors is essential. Full-time benefits include 40 hours of vacation and sick pay within the first year, as well as holiday pay. In the second year, benefits increase to 80 hours of vacation and sick pay. Additional benefits encompass medical, dental, and vision coverage.

Position Overview:

The Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring that all cleaning services are delivered with a focus on hospitality, adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and the standards set by Century Park. This role reports directly to the Housekeeping and Laundry Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently cleans designated areas within the allotted time using appropriate cleaning products, including occupied and vacant units, patios, common areas, offices, lobbies, elevators, lounges, public restrooms, laundry rooms, and dining areas.
  • Performs various cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Maintains cleaning carts and informs the supervisor of any low supply levels.
  • Properly stores cleaning equipment, tools, and supplies.
  • Communicates any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor.
  • Reports any unusual resident behaviors or conditions to the supervisor.
  • Addresses resident concerns or complaints promptly.

  • A genuine enjoyment of serving seniors is essential.
  • Must possess patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, along with the ability to handle challenging situations.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
  • Must be able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Maintains professional relationships with all associates and vendors.
  • Ensures confidentiality of all proprietary information.
  • Adheres to the Code of Ethics established by Century Park Associates and completes all required compliance training.
