Job Description

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) is a leading power engineering consultant firm that provides engineering, system planning and studies, technical consultation, project management, surveying, environmental planning, commissioning/testing and construction services to electric utilities, energy developers and industrials throughout the U.S.

As a Protection Engineer at ECI, you will provide power system protection services including system model development, short circuit analysis, relay settings development, area coordination studies, standards development, relay operation analysis, and technical reviews of drawings and relay settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain accurate system models and perform short circuit analysis to ensure reliable power delivery.
  • Design and implement effective protection schemes to prevent equipment damage and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement standards and best practices for power system protection.
  • Mentor and train less experienced engineers to ensure knowledge transfer and continuity.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in power system protection engineering.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality results and meeting project deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
