Job Title: Nutritionist RD

At RWJBarnabas Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Nutritionist RD to join our team. As a Nutritionist RD, you will play a vital role in providing optimal nutrition services as an integral part of our healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient nutritional status and develop and implement nutritional care plans
  • Provide education to patients and family members about prescribed diets and nutritional information
  • Responsible for the assessment/reassessment of patients at nutritional risk as per the standards of CMS, NJDOH, TJC, education/documentation in the EMR for all patients at nutrition risk as well as documentation of ASPEN criteria for malnutrition
  • Competency includes order-writing privileges for diets and tube feedings
  • Responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree with major studies in Food and Nutrition- or Dietetics
  • RD or RDN Certification or eligible within 6 months of hire
  • Previous clinical experience preferred
