Position Summary:

The Field Technician - Equipment Operator is tasked with the operation of various cleaning machinery including pressure washers, industrial vacuums, floor scrubbers, and sweepers to ensure effective job completion.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lift and carry up to 40lbs following OSHA lifting guidelines.
  • Load and unload machinery from vehicles and transport it safely.
  • Drive and maneuver heavy equipment with caution.
  • Monitor and adjust equipment performance as necessary to complete tasks.
  • Maintain the Preventative Maintenance schedule for all equipment and inform supervisors of any issues or upcoming maintenance.
  • Document equipment problems with detailed information regarding usage.
  • Clean machinery after each use and properly dispose of waste materials.
  • Perform minor repairs when required.
  • Stay focused and aware of surroundings despite distractions.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and composure under pressure.
  • Meet strict deadlines and adapt to changing work conditions.

Qualifications:
  • Driver's License Required
  • EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED
  • EXPERIENCE: Minimum one year in a similar role
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS: Proficient in reading and interpreting safety rules, operating instructions, and maintenance procedures.
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment safety protocols.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination for operating machinery controls.
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery effectively.
  • Capacity to remain stationary in the equipment for extended periods.
  • Problem-solving skills for diagnosing equipment issues.
  • Strong verbal communication skills for collaboration with team members.
  • Basic writing skills for completing reports and documentation.
  • Good driving history reflecting safe driving habits.
  • Ability to obtain Forklift Certification.
  • Multitasking abilities.
  • Capability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to work weekends.
