Position Summary:
The Field Technician - Equipment Operator is tasked with the operation of various cleaning machinery including pressure washers, industrial vacuums, floor scrubbers, and sweepers to ensure effective job completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lift and carry up to 40lbs following OSHA lifting guidelines.
- Load and unload machinery from vehicles and transport it safely.
- Drive and maneuver heavy equipment with caution.
- Monitor and adjust equipment performance as necessary to complete tasks.
- Maintain the Preventative Maintenance schedule for all equipment and inform supervisors of any issues or upcoming maintenance.
- Document equipment problems with detailed information regarding usage.
- Clean machinery after each use and properly dispose of waste materials.
- Perform minor repairs when required.
- Stay focused and aware of surroundings despite distractions.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and composure under pressure.
- Meet strict deadlines and adapt to changing work conditions.
Qualifications:
- Driver's License Required
- EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED
- EXPERIENCE: Minimum one year in a similar role
- LANGUAGE SKILLS: Proficient in reading and interpreting safety rules, operating instructions, and maintenance procedures.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment safety protocols.
- Strong hand-eye coordination for operating machinery controls.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery effectively.
- Capacity to remain stationary in the equipment for extended periods.
- Problem-solving skills for diagnosing equipment issues.
- Strong verbal communication skills for collaboration with team members.
- Basic writing skills for completing reports and documentation.
- Good driving history reflecting safe driving habits.
- Ability to obtain Forklift Certification.
- Multitasking abilities.
- Capability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to work weekends.
