Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers by answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels by ordering and stocking medications and supplies, and ensuring that all pharmacy equipment is in good working order.
  • Prescription Processing: Assist pharmacists in processing prescriptions, including reading medication orders, preparing labels, and calculating quantities.
  • Medication Packaging: Package and organize daily Rx orders in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Financial Assistance: Assist patients with co-payments and financial assistance programs, and provide counseling on Celgene REMS programs.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, physician office staff, and other healthcare providers to coordinate medication refill deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise.
Requirements
  • Education: Currently enrolled in Pharmacy studies at an accredited university and possess a valid Pharmacy Intern license/permit for the state of Kentucky.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician is desired, but not required.
  • Skills: Possess knowledge of medical terminology, brand and generic names of medications, and general pharmacy terminology.
