About the Role:
This position is part of the Resource Pool at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center, covering inpatient needs at various locations. As a registered nurse, you will provide individualized care for patients of all ages, utilizing delegation and critical thinking skills to deliver quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete age-specific admission and ongoing assessments, documenting and using them to develop a plan of care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team, patient, and family to develop, implement, and evaluate an interdisciplinary plan of care.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to achieve optimum patient outcomes.
- Accurately administer and document treatments and medications for patients of all ages using automated computer systems.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a school of professional nursing or an approved program eligible to sit for the VA licensure exam.
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Virginia or eligible to obtain Virginia RN licensure.
- Obtain CPR and as needed ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications.
- Computer skills required for electronic medical records (EPIC).
