Responsibilities:
- Gauge patients' psychiatric states and develop effective treatment plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Administer medications and monitor patients' responses to treatment.
- Remove environmental triggers and provide a safe and supportive environment for patients.
- Record patients' health journeys and report notable changes to healthcare teams.
- Conduct targeted psychoeducation and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
Requirements:
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Pertinent state licensure.
- BLS, ACLS, CPI certification.
- Familiarity with cultural perceptions about psychiatric difficulties.
- Well-honed triaging, diagnostic, and clinical judgment capacities.
- Superb interpersonal and collaboration abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Resilience, immense empathy, and resolution.
Skills and Abilities:
- Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
- Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
- Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
- Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
- A can-do, team-oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
