Apprentice Steamfitter

The Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee for Plumbers & Steamfitters, Local Union #22, is seeking 15 skilled individuals to join their Steamfitter apprenticeship program.

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must provide a signed statement from a personal physician attesting to physical ability to perform Steamfitter duties
• Must possess a valid NYS driver's license
• Must have reliable transportation to and from job sites and required classes

Applicants must reside in the following counties and/or townships:

• Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Niagara, and Wyoming Counties
• Genesee County - Alabama, Oakfield, Elba, Pembroke, Batavia, Darien, and Alexander townships
• Orleans County - Yates, Ridgeway, and Shelby townships
• Allegany County - Allen, Alma, Amity, Angelica, Belfast, Bolivar, Caneadea, Centerville, Clarksville, Cuba, Friendship, Genesee, Granger, Hume, New Hudson, Rushford, Scio, and Wirt townships

Applicants will be selected based on their qualifications and must pass a drug test prior to enrollment in the apprenticeship program.

Applicants must also take and pass Work Keys Applied Mathematics, Workplace Documents, and Graphic Literacy Assessment tests with a minimum score of four in each category.

Apprentice programs registered with the Department of Labor must meet standards established by the Commissioner.
