Job Summary:We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Travel Nurse RN to provide high-quality patient care in a home health setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:- Provide professional assessments and prioritize treatments according to the urgency of need.
- Manage urgent issues in collaboration with Primary Care Providers, paramedics, pharmacy staff, administration staff, and hospital transitions.
- Uphold and support the mission, core values, objectives, and policies of SCPP PACE.
- Respond promptly to each incoming call and perform patient assessments to determine the appropriate level of care required.
- Communicate and collaborate with paramedics, pharmacy, administration, home care coordinator, and primary care provider on call, clearly and effectively.
- Initiate emergency treatment if necessary and initiate hospital transition, including faxing of current MAR, DPOA, and Code status paperwork to medical facilities.
- Thoroughly document using the appropriate computer software in compliance with approved policies and procedures.
- Actively participate in new employee orientation, ongoing in-service programs, staff meetings, continuous quality improvement, and periodic performance/protocol evaluations and development.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current Nurse licensure in the State of Michigan (LPN, RN).
- Minimum of one year of experience working with the frail, elderly, or long-term care population.
- Minimum of one year of home care experience.
- Minimum 2 years working in nursing.
- Participation in continuing education programs.
- Familiarity/experience with participant interactions on telephone.
- Strong ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with participants, coworkers, staff, and medical service providers.
- Effective communication and people skills.
This position can be done remotely, and the After-Hours Registered Nurse will have access to a computer terminal and telephonic equipment to be used in remote/home office.
Benefits:Tact Staff offers a competitive pay package based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
