Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Histology Technologist to join our team at HCA Healthcare Laboratory Services. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing histology and cytology procedures, ensuring accurate sample identification, and maintaining equipment according to department procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare biological samples for examination, including fixation, cell block preparation, embedding, microtomy, slide preparation, routine stains, IHC, and special stains.
  • Ensure positive sample, block, and slide identification.
  • Maintain reagents for routine stains and histology procedures.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and instrumentation per manufacturer and department procedures.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma and minimum two years of histology experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • National Certification as a MT (ASCP) or HT (ASCP) required.
  • State license where required.
