Laboratory Technician

The Allen Lab provides laboratory services for inpatient, outpatient, nursing home, and client reference lab services for local clinics and rural hospitals within the region.
Within the lab, the core departments include hematology, urinalysis, coagulation, chemistry, and special chemistry. Additionally, the lab houses a blood bank, phlebotomy, limited microbiology, including molecular microbiology, histology, and cytology.
The MLT will be required to rotate through the core lab departments and potentially be trained in molecular biology.
Responsibilities- 1 year of current hospital experience is required.
- Experience with Siemens or Roche laboratory equipment is preferred.
- Experience with Sysmex hematology, Siemens urinalysis, Cepheid, and BIofire Molecular instrumentation is preferred.
- Experience with SunQuest information system is preferred.
- EPIC experience is preferred.
The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.
