Key Responsibilities- Obtain and record patient medical histories, vitals, test results, and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Coordinate daily administrative activities, including scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, and patient medical record maintenance.
- Prepare treatment rooms for clinical examinations and assist practitioners with medical procedures and other patient care.
- Provide compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
- Prepare and administer medications for patients as directed by physicians.
- Perform patient rooming, use of bladder scan, and demonstrate a good understanding of HLD, customer service, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.
- Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a DAPIP accredited program OR national certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, CCBMA, or MMCI.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature, and reporting patient history summaries.
- 1 year working as an MA in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting.
- Expertise with blood/lab draws and venipuncture.
