We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic/Millwright to join our team at Johns Manville in Edison, NJ. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our production equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment, including machine shop equipment, pumps, valves, and other process-related equipment.
- Diagnose and repair power transmission components, including gearboxes, couplings, chains, belts, and sprockets.
- Operate overhead cranes and lift devices safely and efficiently.
- Lead multi-craft teams in task and job assignments.
- Initiate and update preventive maintenance (PMs), standard operating procedures (SOPs), pre-task plans (PTPs), and safety audits to ensure efficient operation of the maintenance department.
- Minimum of 7 years of industrial experience in mechanical/electrical repairs or 10 years of strong industrial experience in mechanical/electrical repairs in lieu of a formal education.
- Experience operating various machine shop equipment, including lathes, drill presses, grinders, and related equipment.
- Welding, gas cutting, and fabrication experience.
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
