Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Night Auditor to join our team at Residence Inn by Marriott. As a Night Auditor, you will be responsible for balancing revenue and settling accounts nightly, maintaining files, and resetting the system for the next day of operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Operations: Perform bookkeeping activities, such as balancing accounts and conducting nightly audits.
  • Account Management: Keep records of room availability and guests' accounts, manually or using computers.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and distribute daily reports, including financial statements and other relevant data.
  • Cash Handling: Audit and reconcile cashiers, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions.
  • Credit Card Processing: Audit, reconcile, consolidate, and transmit all credit cards on a timely basis.
  • Financial Data Entry: Input and update financial information into the BRAINS network.
  • Guest Services: Check guests in/out and perform Guest Service Agent tasks, including responding to guest inquiries and resolving complaints.
  • Quality Assurance: Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
  • Sustainability: Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHMs EarthView program.
  • Safety and Security: Practice safe work habits and wear protective safety equipment.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Previous night audit/accounting experience or equivalent training required.
  • Skills: Computer knowledge/Excel and arithmetic skills required.
  • Additional Requirements: FSD is a plus, required within 90 days of employment.
Work Environment
  • Work Schedule: Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays, and weekends.
  • Physical Demands: Requires standing for extended periods, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, and reaching.
