  • Provide supplies and equipment for residents to participate in individual activities.
  • Assist with planning, developing, coordinating, and evaluating diversified, resident-centered activities.
  • Decorate for holidays, outings, and special events.
  • Escort residents to and from activities as needed.
  • Provide one-on-one time with residents to follow up on behavioral episodes and interventions.
  • Advocate for residents regarding their needs, interests, preferences, and rights.
  • Maintain up-to-date activity documentation on individual residents.

The ideal candidate will be energetic, passionate, and creative, with a gentle and responsible approach. They must be comfortable working with confused individuals and willing to find fulfillment in little ways.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1 year of prior work/life experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Ability to deal tactfully with team members, other staff, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.
  • Basic computer literacy and skills.
