Position Overview
The primary objective of this role is to ensure that all facilities are maintained in a clean and orderly manner at all times. This description serves as a guideline for the essential tasks and responsibilities associated with maintaining a high standard of cleanliness across all locations serviced by our team. We are currently seeking dedicated Janitor professionals to join our team.
Shifts Available:
1st Shift: 7am-4:00pm
2nd Shift: 12pm-9:00pm
3rd Shift: 9pm-6:00am
Full-Time Positions with Benefits
Key Duties Include:
- Performing floor care tasks such as sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing using specialized equipment.
- Utilizing ladders to dust and clean walls, ceilings, and light fixtures, as well as washing and replacing blinds.
- Relocating furniture and equipment to facilitate thorough cleaning.
- Removing stains from various surfaces using appropriate cleaning agents and solutions.
- Conducting seasonal tasks such as snow removal and yard maintenance as needed.
- Handling waste disposal and ensuring cleanliness in all areas, including high-traffic zones.
- Carpeted Areas: Empty waste bins, vacuum carpets, and spot clean as necessary.
- Break Rooms: Maintain cleanliness by wiping down surfaces, cleaning appliances, and mopping floors.
- Restrooms: Sanitize toilets and sinks, restock supplies, and maintain overall hygiene.
- Non-Carpeted Areas: Sweep and mop floors, and ensure surfaces are dust-free.
- Dust and clean high surfaces, including vents and partitions.
- Maintain cleanliness in janitorial storage areas and ensure equipment is in good working order.
- Basic knowledge of janitorial practices is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Professional appearance and adherence to uniform policies.
- Willingness to participate in training and safety programs.
- Dependability and punctuality are essential.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Prior experience in commercial cleaning or facility maintenance is desirable.
- Varied office and facility settings.
- Moderate noise levels and exposure to cleaning agents.
- Regularly required to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Employees must be able to perform essential functions, including standing, walking, and lifting.
