This role involves executing prescribed imaging procedures in line with established departmental and facility protocols. The MRI Technologist is dedicated to delivering exceptional care and treatment to the patient demographic.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct imaging procedures by adhering to and confirming the orders from referring healthcare providers. Utilize independent judgment and apply learned techniques according to set policies and procedures.
2. Inform patients and their families about the procedures and treatments to be performed. Exhibit professional conduct in all interactions, promoting teamwork, resource efficiency, and quality patient outcomes.
3. Generate high-quality images and compile them along with relevant patient information for prompt interpretation. Ensure accurate documentation is maintained.
4. Demonstrate proficiency in performing prescribed invasive or interventional procedures as required, following established policies.
5. Conduct and assess equipment quality control measures. Exhibit troubleshooting skills and notify appropriate personnel to ensure optimal equipment performance. Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors, adhering to safety regulations.
6. Uphold ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities associated with radiology practice, including the confidentiality of all work-related information.
7. Ensure the smooth operation of departmental workflow. Monitor and maintain adequate inventory levels of supplies to prevent service interruptions.
Minimum Qualifications:
National certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and/or relevant licensure in the modality (NMTCB, ARDMS, ARMRIT) is required. State licensure, as applicable, is necessary. Advanced certification in MRI must be obtained within 18 months of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional education and/or experience related to the field are preferred.
