About the Role

As a Cardiac Catheterization Nurse Specialist, you will work closely with our cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform as a circulator, scrub, or monitor on the cardiac catheterization team
- Ensure that patients are properly prepared for procedures and that all necessary information is available
- Administer medications and report abnormal results to physicians in a timely manner
- Utilize critical judgment to analyze patient assessments and make informed decisions about patient care
- Maintain accurate records of patient orders and charges
- Provide education to patients and families based on assessed needs

Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Professional Nurse (RN) licensure - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association (AHA)

Working Conditions
- Constant standing and walking
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs
- Occasional lifting/moving of patients
- Rare crawling and running

Salary Information
We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000-$110,000 per year, depending on experience.
