Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Bothwell Regional Health Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including blood work, urinalysis, and microbiology.


Key Responsibilities

The Medical Laboratory Technician will be responsible for:


  • Reviewing and implementing laboratory policies and procedures
  • Operating laboratory equipment and ensuring quality control parameters are met
  • Participating in continuing education and maintaining knowledge of clinical laboratory practices
  • Performing patient testing and identifying and correcting problems with specimens and instruments
  • Participating in proficiency testing and special projects as required

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS

Education

An Associate Degree in Science or Laboratory Science/Medical Laboratory Technician Clinical Program is required.



Licensure/Certification

MLT(ASCP) or equivalent certification is required.



Work Experience

Technically competent in trained laboratory sections and capable of performing patient care for all age groups.
