Position Overview:
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Interventional Cardiology department, you will provide critical intra-operative care to patients undergoing advanced procedures in the Cardiac Cath and Electrophysiology Labs. Your role will also encompass caring for patients during complex structural heart interventions, such as valve repairs and transcatheter valve replacements (TAVR). Utilizing your strong assessment and analytical skills, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes, while prioritizing advocacy, safety, and education.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience as an RN in a Cardiac Cath or Electrophysiology Lab.
- Proficiency in preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care based on thorough nursing assessments, adhering to established standards and hospital protocols.

- Prioritize and execute direct patient care in accordance with established policies.
- Effectively communicate and document procedures and interventions.
- Respond appropriately to emergent situations.
- Assist the multidisciplinary team with all aspects of patient care.
- Delegate responsibilities to staff based on patient needs and competencies.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and report any issues promptly.
Education and Certifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification may be required based on departmental needs.
Work Experience:
- A minimum of one year of acute care RN experience in a hospital setting is required.
