Job Summary

Virtua, Inc. is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a key member of our Interventional Radiology department, you will be responsible for coordinating daily activities, performing diagnostic radiographic procedures, and supporting the Virtua mission and vision statements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the direction of a Radiologist, perform all Interventional Radiology procedures on all patient populations, preparing and maintaining a sterile environment, and utilizing aseptic techniques.
  • Practice established principles of radiation safety and protection, demonstrating effective use of radiographic equipment and computer systems.
  • Provide thorough and accurate documentation, obtaining pertinent medical information prior to procedures and reviewing physicians' orders.
  • Ensure accurate inventory supply par levels for all Interventional products utilized.
  • Provide instruction and assist in training new staff or student radiologic technologists.
Requirements
  • Minimum of one year of experience as an Interventional Radiologic Technologist preferred.
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (A.R.R.T.) and licensed by the State of New Jersey DEP.
  • CPR certification required.
