Key Responsibilities- Thermal Modeling: Develop and implement detailed thermo-mechanical models to support the design and operation of our thermal energy storage modules.
- System Design: Collaborate with mechanical design engineers to develop thermal and systems requirements, and work closely with manufacturing engineers to optimize for cost and production scale-up.
- Analysis and Validation: Perform thermal and mechanical analysis, including Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Conjugate Heat Transfer (CHT), and/or mechanical Finite Element Analysis (FEA), to predict system-level performance and validate models.
- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Develop and maintain internal design practices and documentation on thermal and mechanical system modeling, ensuring seamless knowledge transfer and best practices within the team.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 2-3 years of professional experience in thermal and mechanical design teams, with a strong background in hardware product development.
- Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and deliver high-fidelity models and technical documentation.
- Advanced Experience: 4+ years of professional experience in hardware modeling roles, with 2+ years of experience as a lead engineer on multi-physics FEA projects.
- Industrial Experience: Experience with design of thermal and/or thermo-mechanical systems at industrial scale and high-temperature environments.
- Thermal Analysis: Demonstrated understanding of thermal and systems analysis, including failure modes of thermo-mechanical systems.
- Competitive Salary: $96,000 USD - $115,000 USD per year.
