Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Monitor patients' conditions and respond to changes in their status, taking prompt action to address any concerns or issues that arise.
  • Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide other treatments as ordered by physicians, ensuring that patients receive safe and effective care.
  • Document patient assessment findings, care rendered, and other relevant information in a timely and accurate manner, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and empowering patients to take an active role in their care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices and policies that enhance patient outcomes and safety.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in critical care nursing, preferably in a surgical intensive care unit.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
