As a Livestock Care Specialist with The Maschhoffs, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our animals. This position requires a strong understanding of animal husbandry principles and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Carry out daily care of the animals, ensuring adequate access to feed and water, monitoring the barn environment, and maintaining a clean and safe living space.
  • Assist in the training and development of new employees, providing guidance and support to ensure a smooth transition into the role.
  • Collaborate with the farm management team to develop and implement strategies for improving animal care and welfare.
  • Participate in regular health checks and monitoring of animal behavior, identifying any potential issues and taking corrective action as needed.
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure seamless operations and maintain high levels of productivity.

**Requirements**

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Animal husbandry skills or the desire to learn how to effectively care for animals.
  • Availability to work every other weekend.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • One year of farm and/or livestock experience.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office and computers.
