Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Junior Firefighter/EMT. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience and skills in fire suppression, emergency medical services, and community safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide fire suppression and medical aid
  • Participate in training and drills to maintain and improve skills
  • Assist in community awareness and public education programs
  • Maintain equipment and apparatus in ready condition
Requirements
  • Be 16-17 years of age
  • Successfully complete the application process, including a criminal history record check and online training courses
  • Complete a minimum of one 12-hour shift per week
  • Enroll in certification classes, including EVOC, FFI-II, and EMT
  • Maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) issued by AVFRD
  • Complete annual physical scheduled and paid for by Loudoun County Combined Fire Rescue System
