Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Controls Specialist to join our team at Management Recruiters International. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the implementation of manufacturing equipment controls, troubleshooting, and process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Subject Matter Expert: Be the primary expert on manufacturing equipment controls, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI).
  • Troubleshooting and Process Improvement: Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues, and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Document Control: Develop and maintain documentation for manufacturing equipment and processes, including electrical schematics and equipment layout drawings.
  • Liaison and Communication: Act as a liaison between internal and external resources, and communicate effectively with peers, management, contractors, and vendors.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and delivering results in a dynamic environment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support Continuous Improvement Activities and Teams, and develop training programs to improve maintenance staff's troubleshooting capabilities.

Requirements:

  • Education: Associate degree in Industrial Technology, Electromechanical Technology, or Engineering Technology.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of control system experience working with Allen Bradley PLC based controls in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Strong project management skills, effective communication skills, self-directed, and ability to multi-task and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
  • Software and Tools: Experience with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word), Allen Bradley (A/B) PLC control level issue diagnosis using ladder logic and Control View HMI, and AutoCAD.
