About the RoleCVS Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Safety: Ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and colleagues by adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Pharmacy Professional Practice: Provide expert guidance and support to pharmacy technicians and other colleagues to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care.
- Regulatory Requirements: Stay up-to-date with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
- Quality Assurance: Develop and implement processes to ensure the highest level of quality and accuracy in all pharmacy operations.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients and colleagues, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Personnel Management: Supervise and develop the skills of pharmacy technicians and other colleagues to ensure they have the necessary tools and support to succeed.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the management of pharmacy inventory, ensuring that all medications and supplies are properly stocked and managed.
- Financial Profitability: Work with the pharmacy management team to develop and implement strategies to improve financial performance and minimize costs.
- Loss Prevention: Identify and mitigate potential risks and losses in the pharmacy, ensuring that all necessary controls are in place to prevent errors and losses.
- Workflow Management: Develop and implement efficient workflows to ensure that all pharmacy operations run smoothly and effectively.
- Active Pharmacy License: Must hold an active pharmacy license in the state in which you are employed.
- Immunization Certification: Must have immunization certification through an accredited organization.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and be free of pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree preferred.
