Fike Corporation, a rapidly expanding global manufacturer of pressure relief, explosion protection, fire suppression, and detection systems, is seeking an On-Site Service Specialist. Fike is a privately owned enterprise with a significant workforce, providing innovative solutions in safety and protection.

Position Overview:

This entry-level role focuses on professional growth and development while delivering expert electrical and mechanical assistance in the maintenance and troubleshooting of Fike's Explosion Protection (EP) systems. Under close supervision, the specialist will provide on-site customer support in diverse environments, ranging from extreme cold to high heat, and in various conditions from industrial to sterile settings. Travel is required, primarily within the country.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Embrace and practice Fike's Core Values: Customer focus, mutual respect, teamwork, accountability, and innovative thinking.

2. Support various projects related to Fike's equipment.

3. Participate in job site issue analysis.

4. Collaborate with team members to travel to different facilities as needed.

5. Acquire skills in emergency repairs, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting at customer locations.

6. Adhere to Fike's expense policies and provide weekly updates for customer billing and reimbursement.

7. Join team members in emergency or after-hours assignments that require immediate attention to meet client deadlines.

8. Gain knowledge of Fike systems and applications to assist in resolving issues for both internal and external clients.

9. Document findings and communicate effectively with relevant teams.

10. Ensure compliance with all customer safety standards.

11. Deliver customer service in line with company policies, procedures, and quality management standards.

12. Maintain confidentiality of all processed information.

13. Utilize Fike's electronic service platform to generate reports on work completed and document all relevant information.

14. Learn to operate lifting equipment safely, including obtaining necessary certifications.

15. Complete both in-person and online safety training.

Other duties may be assigned as necessary. Regular attendance is essential.

Essential Skills:

Understanding of subject matter, analytical skills, proficiency in computer applications, electrical and mechanical knowledge, troubleshooting abilities, and strong verbal and written communication skills.

Work Environment:

While performing job duties, the employee will frequently need to walk, talk, hear, see, sit, and use hands. The ability to lift over 75 pounds without assistance, climb ladders, and work in challenging situations such as elevated heights and confined spaces is required. Frequent travel for consecutive days is also necessary.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent, mechanical or electrical aptitude, strong communication skills for problem description and customer interaction, valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain a passport. Basic knowledge of Windows and/or Google Suite is essential.

PREFERRED: An associate's degree in engineering or a related field, familiarity with NFPA standards and related codes, experience in computer or security networking, and prior field service experience with industrial products.
