Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol all areas of the property to prevent and detect potential security threats
  • Monitor CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and other security equipment to ensure the safety of our guests and employees
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents, providing first aid and other necessary assistance as required
  • Conduct daily physical hazard inspections to identify and mitigate potential risks
  • Assist guests and employees during emergency situations, providing support and guidance as needed
  • Notify management and other relevant personnel in the event of accidents, attacks, or other incidents
  • Defuse guest and employee disturbances, using de-escalation techniques to resolve conflicts peacefully
  • Complete incident reports to document all security-related incidents and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Handle all interruptions and complaints in a professional and courteous manner
  • Resolve safety hazard situations, taking prompt action to mitigate risks and prevent accidents
  • Escort unwelcome persons from the property, ensuring the orderly flow of operations
  • Report to scenes of vehicle accidents and thefts, providing assistance and support as needed
  • Call for assistance using proper code responses, ensuring timely and effective response to emergencies
  • Complete a Loss Prevention shift summary and daily activity report, providing a detailed account of security-related activities
  • Maintain confidentiality of all security and property reports and documents, releasing information only to authorized personnel
  • Conduct investigations and gather evidence to support incident reports and other security-related activities
  • Conduct interviews with relevant parties, gathering information and statements to support incident reports and other security-related activities
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • No related work experience required, but prior experience in a security or law enforcement role is preferred
  • No supervisory experience required, but prior experience in a leadership role is preferred
  • No license or certification required, but prior experience with security-related certifications is preferred
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time, as well as the ability to move quickly and safely in response to emergencies. The role also requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance and objects weighing in excess of 75 pounds with assistance. The role requires fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, as well as the ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces. The role also requires the ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
