The Hofman Hospitality Group is seeking a dedicated Dish Utility Team Member to join our team at Lucille's BBQ in Rocklin, CA. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation standards of our establishment.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to assist with dishwashing, cleaning, and general utility tasks in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Dish Utility Team Member, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of cleanliness and safety standards are met, while working collaboratively with our team to provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dishwashing area and surrounding kitchen spaces;
  • Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glassware, tableware, and cooking utensils, and place them in racks to send through the dish machine;
  • Sort and stack clean dishes; carry clean dishes to the cooks' line and other proper storage areas; rewash soiled dishes before delivering;
  • Change dishwater in the dish machine every hour;
  • Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand;
  • Remove trash and garbage to the dumpster;
  • Set up and break down the dishwashing area;
  • Clean and roll/unroll mats;
  • Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning and sanitizing solutions;
  • Sweep/mop floors;
  • Assemble/disassemble the dish machine;
  • Sweep up trash around the exterior of the restaurant and garbage dumpster;
  • Perform general restaurant and restroom cleaning as directed;
  • Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry;
  • Notify management anytime the dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures;
  • Take pride in your personal appearance; report to work in neat and clean clothing; maintain well-groomed hair and personal hygiene as established by Company policy;
  • Display integrity and honesty in all aspects of your employment;
  • Perform other duties as directed.
Requirements
  • Moderate verbal and written communication skills;
  • Moderate interpersonal and conflict resolution skills;
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Ability to remain calm while working under pressure in a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to act with integrity and professionalism;
  • Must possess proficient ability to communicate in English in an oral and written format;
  • California food handlers card required;
  • Basic mathematical skills;
  • Basic reading and writing skills;
  • Basic computer skills;
  • Multi-task oriented;
  • Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of application;
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required;
  • Knowledge of and ability to adhere to workplace safety procedures;
  • Must be able to suggestively sell food and beverage items;
  • One or more years of full-service restaurant experience preferred.

While performing the duties of this position, the team member is standing the entire shift. The team member frequently reaches, bends, stoops, lifts, shakes, stirs, pours, carries, and pushes. The team member frequently uses hands or fingers, handles or feels objects, tools, or controls in repetitive motions. The team member frequently walks, sits, and reaches with hands and arms. The team member frequently lifts and carries tubs, cases, trash, and plates weighing up to 75 pounds.

The estimated salary range for this position is $16.00-$19.00 per hour, based on location and experience.
