About the Role

The California Board of Accountancy is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Student Assistant to join our team in the Licensing Division. As a Student Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting the examination and licensing process, ensuring that the public receives quality accounting services from licensed professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and evaluate applications for examination, initial licensing, and license renewal
  • Provide intake and archive assistance to the Licensing Division
  • Work closely with the Staff Services Manager to ensure efficient and effective operations
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives
Requirements
  • Enrolled in an accredited college or university with at least six (6) semester units, or nine (9) quarter units, with a GPA of 2.0 or higher
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
