About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Systems Engineer to join our team. As a Lead Power Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for leading electrical design projects, coordinating with local utilities, and ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical design projects, including power system coordination and arc flash hazard analysis.
  • Coordinate with local electrical utilities on project technical needs.
  • Review supplier submittals and ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Act as a liaison between the local design team, client, and remote design teams for I&C design.
  • Start up and testing of major electrical equipment.
  • Provide technical guidance on client standards and expectations to engineering and technician staff.
  • Serve as a technical expert in electrical power distribution and miscellaneous plant electrical systems for client consultations.
  • Support business development related to enhanced Electrical services.
Requirements
  • Professional Engineer's license.
  • 5+ years in electrical design, planning, and construction services.
  • Consulting and Water/Wastewater experience preferred.
  • Experience in medium and low voltage power distribution equipment, including variable frequency drives and standby diesel generators.
  • Understanding of PLC hardware and software setup, network configuration, HMI, SCADA system, instrumentation, and fiber optic cabling.
  • Experience in a client-facing/business development role.
  • Power system analysis experience in SKM, ETAP, or other analysis software a plus.
