Position Overview

$1000 Sign-On Bonus

Role Summary

The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of guest accommodations and shared spaces, adhering to the high standards set by Relais & Châteaux. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and efficient resource management.

Key Responsibilities

Typical duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Preparation: Conducting inventory checks and organizing supplies for daily tasks.
  • Room Service: Performing thorough cleaning and sanitization of guest rooms, including bathrooms and living areas; ensuring all amenities are replenished.
  • Turnover Duties: Preparing rooms for new arrivals by stripping beds, cleaning, and restocking supplies.
  • Common Area Upkeep: Maintaining the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of all public spaces.
  • Laundry Management: Collecting and transporting linens to the laundry facility; operating machines and managing the folding and storage of clean items.
  • Supply Restocking: Monitoring and replenishing housekeeping supplies as needed.
  • Workspace Maintenance: Keeping the housekeeping areas, including laundry and break rooms, clean and organized.
  • Vehicle Operation: Safely driving company vehicles to transport supplies and maintain cleanliness.
  • Efficiency: Committing to thorough, timely, and detail-oriented work practices.
  • Reporting: Identifying and reporting maintenance issues or inventory discrepancies.
  • Additional Duties: Performing other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
Education and Training Requirements

  • Experience in cleaning and familiarity with safe cleaning practices.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety protocols.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Working Conditions

  • Ability to work in various weather conditions while transporting supplies.
  • Regular lifting of 10 to 15 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.
  • Frequent walking, bending, and moving throughout the shift.
  • Work is primarily conducted on foot for the duration of the shift.
